A sculptural exploration of the act of re-purposing and artistic preservation of nature. Discarded wood from the artists garden was collected, analyzed, and reclaimed through sculptural and wood treatment methods. Machines were not used in the process, as only hand tools were implemented to preserve the wood’s organic identity. For over thirty years, each piece has been individually approached with sensitivity to form and expression resulting in a collection of visual references to animals, biblical figures, and people crossed paths with in life.
