About Artist

I was born in Milan in 1972, but my early years were spent in Palo Alto
California, a place that shaped my worldview. Later, my family returned to
Italy, settling first in Lucca and then in Florence.
It was in Florence that I began my formal artistic journey, studying
sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. Sculpture gave me a foundation,
but soon I felt the pull toward painting as my primary mode of expression
and true focus.
Over the years, my works have been exhibited internationally, from Paris to
Hong Kong, Rome to Florence. I have lived and worked in many places,
New York, Bali, Berlin, Carrara, but Florence remains my anchor, the city
where my artistic journey was born.

Nothing is original.
Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or
fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films,
music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams,
random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs,
trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select
only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul.
If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic.
Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent.
And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if
you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean
Luc Godard said:
“It’s not where you take things from – it's where you take
them to.”
