About the Exhibition
As part of the Italian Design Festival in Kuwait, the Contemporary Art Platform and the Embassy of Italy in Kuwait, in collaboration with Italian Art & Design Studio, are delighted to present a solo exhibition titled A Gaze Elsewhere. Visions from a Moving Memory by Italian artist Federico Fiorentini. Born in Milan in 1972, Federico Fiorentini is a painter and architect whose work explores the intersections between memory, movement, and perception. His paintings emerge from everyday urban scenes—streets, facades, and fleeting human presences—that he reinterprets through delicate tones and shifting perspectives. By merging figuration with abstraction, Fiorentini transforms ordinary spaces into poetic reflections on time, distance, and the act of seeing. Through A Gaze Elsewhere. Visions from a Moving Memory, the artist invites viewers into a contemplative journey through the layers of memory and motion. The exhibition unfolds as a visual dialogue between light, architecture, and emotion—where each painting becomes a passage through recollection and imagination, evoking both familiarity and introspection.
كجزء من مهرجان التصميم الإيطالي في الكويت، يسر منصة الفن المعاصر وسفارة إيطاليا في الكويت، بالتعاون مع Italian Art & Design Studio، أن يقدما معرضًا فرديًا بعنوان نظرة إلى مكان آخر: رؤى من ذاكرة متحركة للفنان الإيطالي فيديريكو فيورنتيني.
