CAP at the Opening of ‘Resonant Histories’: A Celebration of Shared Artistic Heritage

Contemporary Art Platform was honored to attend the opening of
“Resonant Histories: India and the Arab World”

Curated by Suheyla Takesh (@suheyla.takesh) and Puja Vaish (@puja_vaish), the exhibition features works from the Barjeel Art Foundation (@barjeelart) and the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation (@jnafmumbai). It highlights the artistic and intellectual exchanges that connected India and the Arab world throughout the twentieth century.

We were proud to see Jafar Islah’s Untitled, 1967 (Acrylic on Canvas, 121 × 49.5 cm) featured in the exhibition, from the Barjeel Art Foundation’s collection.

The exhibition presents a beautifully curated narrative, tracing shared histories, connections and creative dialogues between the two regions.

The show will remain on view at the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, CSMVS, until February 2, 2026.
