Every day offers another beginning. Each work in The Other Side is named after the day it is created, reflecting an unfolding journey where change is embraced, possibilities emerge, and each painting becomes part of a larger story.
The Other Side continues thejourney of transformation, reminding us that growth often begins when we are willing to release what no
longer serves us and remain open to what lies ahead.
“It is an invitation to embrace what is unfolding, even before its destination is known.”
THE OTHER SIDE – KUWAIT
Upon arriving at Contemporary Art Platform, I noticed a small yellow flower.
The Arfaj, Kuwait’s national flower, grows in the desert, enduring extreme heat and long periods of dryness. Its resilience felt
immediately connected to something already unfolding in my own work.
I began painting flowers as I was finding my way out of a period of darkness. For me, they came to represent the return of light – the strength to move forward, to grow again, and to find beauty after difficulty.
Encountering the Arfaj in Kuwait created an unexpected connection. The flowers may be different, but what they hold is the
same: resilience, the ability to endure, and the possibility of new life emerging from difficult conditions.
In this way, the Arfaj becomes a quiet point of connection within The Other Side – between the journey already present in my work
and this new chapter unfolding in Kuwait
